NEW! Tiller Display at the Fire Museum

Come experience the thrill and excitement of driving a tiller ladder truck. The Buffalo Fire Museum's newest display uses a real tiller cab from the Buffalo Fire Department and video to recreate what it feels like to drive a ladder truck through the streets of Buffalo.

Take your seat in the cab and learn what it takes to drive these unique rigs down narrow streets and around corners. After some driver training, respond with lights and sirens to actual emergencies!
View from the tiller seat

The display can be seen at the Buffalo Fire Museum, 1850 William Street, Buffalo, N.Y. on Saturdays from 10AM til 4PM. Admission is free.

Actor Jerry Mathers comes to Buffalo

The "Help is Here Express" bus tour along with American TV icon and "Leave it To Beaver" star Jerry Mathers were in Buffalo today stopping at the Matthew Gajewski Medical Center at 1500 Broadway. The bus tour is part of the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) - a nationwide effort sponsored by America's pharmaceutical research companies to help people in need access prescription medicines.
Jerry Mathers, who suffers from diabetes and is traveling with the PPA bus to raise awareness of this devastating chronic disease, is an American icon, best known for his portrayal of "Beaver" Cleaver in the television classic, "Leave it To Beaver".
To date, the PPA has helped more than 5 million people across America, including more than 165,000 patients in New York. To get more information on what help you can receive from PPA, visit their website at www.pparx.org or call the toll free phone number 1-888-4PPA-NOW where trained operators take calls in 150 languages.

Jerry Mathers, aka the "Beav", signs autographs(left pic), and poses for a photo with my wife, Julie(on the right) and her sister Cindy. I'd like to thank Mr. Mathers for being so nice to us all, a class act all the way!
